About
I live and work in the Greater Bay Area. During the completion of my formal education at Stanford University as a post Doctorate fellow, I took up the daunting yet fascinating subject of the 'Human Figure in Art' as an evening workshop. Graphite, charcoals, pastels, and watercolors later… I found oil paints to be the medium through which I could tap into the only true reference available for every painter: "Nature".
I have been painting since 2007 and years later I am still eager to gain an understanding that explores and creates art work that speaks for itself! I maintain a working studio in Belmont, California. Relational aspects of life, work and art show up as subjects, objects and processes in the creation of my art work. I am an Impressionist by heart but, Pointillism, Post-impressionism and Fauvism play pull and tug with my paint brushes. I am drawn to landscapes, seascapes, still-lifes and florals as of now.
In 2013, my work was accepted at the Salon de Refuses under the auspicious of North Coast Arts Guild and I was awarded an Honorable Mention for my selected work. Over the last 5 years, my work has been shown at 1870 Belmont Art Center in Belmont (2009), Palo Alto Art League in Palo Alto (2010 & 11), Gualala Art Salon at Sea Ranch, CA (2013) and Twin Pines Art Center galleries (2013), First solo show a Twin Pines center for the Arts (2014) and Now Participating In my 4th group show Kaleidoscope of oils (2015) located at my current studio location.
2014 is a pivotal year for me as I participated in several upcoming shows, juried competitions and workshops in the Bay Area.
2015 & upcoming 2016 bring further artistic development and introduction of my work to the community that I am so much a part off!
